Pastor Brenda Billingy
Brenda Billingy is a retired pastor and her passion is serving and mentoring women called by God to do His work through ministry. In 1995 Brenda was ordained as a local Elder and her life began to change dramatically. She completed her B.A. at Columbia Union College in 1998 and served as the Associate Pastor of the Metropolitan Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Hyattsville, Maryland, Senior Pastor of the Bladensburg SDA Church for 4 years then returned to Metropolitan SDA Church as the Senior Pastor. She retired from pastorship in September 2015 but spent the next 5 yrs, mentoring, training, and hiring women to serve as pastors. Brenda has been married to her husband, Edsel for 50 years and are blessed with two wonderful daughters, a son-in-law and a granddaughter, the joy and pride of their lives. Brenda's goal is to perform earthly ministry with a Heavenly mindset, and her desire is to be known as a “humble vessel willing to be used by God”.
